Under CP-189, an individual's certification expires when employment with the employer is terminated or on the last day of the month at the end of five years for Levels I and II. The Level III certification expires:

when the ASNT Level III certificate has expired.

when the ASNT Level III’s employment with the employer is terminated.

when the ASNT Level III is accused of unethical or incompetent conduct.

when the ASNT Level III retires from employment with the employer.
