Penetrant Testing

When using a fluorescent penetrant, the actual inspection must be performed:

In a brightly lighted room

With the part at a temperature between 10 and 79 °C (50 and 175 °F)

Immediately after the developer has been applied

In a darkened area under an ultraviolet light

After the penetrant has fully dried
